Avalanche Game!
We often get invitations through the kid's school or sports teams to go to different sporting events. Typically we pass on these as they tend to be kind of expensive, but we decided that it might be fun to go to the Avalanche game and the tickets were actually reasonably priced. They kids have almost never watched hockey before and I didn't know where we would end up, but they turned out to be awesome seats!
We were in the bottom section about 15 rows up from the ice. The Avalanche do a great job of keeping the crowd involved and there's almost always something going on during the intermissions or tv breaks. They kids absolutely loved it and had a great time. Gavin was particularly excited as he appreciated that in hockey, as opposed to soccer, you can just smash into people and wack them with your stick and do all sorts of dirty tricks and you don't get any penalties. Welcome to Hockey!
