National Honor Society Induction

Gavin was recently honored with an invitation to be inducted into the National Honor Society.  I think this is a result of his grades and leadership within the school.  It is a great honor and they do a nice formal induction ceremony to celebrate all of the new members.

After some talks by the chapter leadership, and a formal pledge by the new inductees, they called them one by one up to the stage to be congratulated and receive their certificates.

Gavin seemed a bit hesitant or reluctant at first, but I think he realized what an honor this is and was proud to be recognized.  Sometimes separating the achievements from the social hierarchy is difficult to navigate.  We are very proud of his achievement and the recognition of his academic effort.
