Icicles?

This has to be the biggest icicle that has ever come from our own neighborhood.  I am not quite sure where this came from, but these guys came back home hauling this monster down the road.  It looks very dangerous which is probably why they enjoyed it so much.  Luckily, nobody got impaled with this weapon before it was left to melt away.

A Day with Dad

Tara was out of town, though I can't recall for what reason, so the boys and I were left to fend for ourselves.  I decided we better get outside so we went up to the back side of Mount Sanitas for some hiking and bouldering.  It was late December, so it can be a bit chilly, but this side gets some good sun so its usually pretty clear.  Here are these two goofy guys heading up the bottom section that is almost like walking up steep stairs.

We stopped quite often for some bouldering attempts.  Basically, they wanted to see if they could climb almost every piece of rock that we passed by.

Here is Gage on a nice big rock that overlooks Boulder behind.

After a long hike, what is better than some pasta and some ridiculously enormous sourdough bread to eat.  I think we found this bread at Trader Joes and the kids were super into it!  With mom gone, too, no objections to another day of pasta were heard.
