Take Your Kid to Work - Leprino Days 2019
This annual tradition is something the kids have really developed a love for. I believe this makes year two for Gage and year three for Gavin at Leprino Foods. Here is Gage selling cupcakes this year.
Gavin got in on the marketing side for cupcakes, as well. It's unfortunate that these blogs can't handle a video because it's hard to truly capture the utter chaos that is taking place in this area. There are approximately 100 kids selling 8-10 different products in teams to compete against each other. You have teams chanting and clapping and yelling out discounts. It an fairly glorious racket as they learn to become young capitalists.
In the end there can only be one winner and this year the Chips & Salsa/Guacamole team took it home with $72.70 in net profit after subtracting out supplies. Gavin and Gage's team pulled in a respectable $47.11 to take 5th place.
Even though they have been through it before, we had fun putting on all the protective clothing to allow us to take a tour through the cheese pilot plant. It's a bit of a quick tour but pretty fun for them to see all the equipment running. Not pictured were us eating more than our fair share of pizza and some exercise events (including some kickball and sprint races) in the parking lot outside of the main building.
