Costa Rica Family Trip - Day 2 (Part 2 of 2)
After that filling Waffle Monkey trip, by the end of the day, I was ready for a nice quick run to work off some of those calories. I headed South along the main Playa Tamarindo past and around the Point at the end of the beach towards Playa Langosta. Running on the beach has always been one of my favorite things to do all the way back to when I was a kid growing up in West LA/Brentwood. While the sand around Tamarindo pretty nice, it got quite deep and almost rocky or small pebbly around the bend.
However, the view was absolutely amazing, and I got there just in time to catch the sunset. There was a small gathering of people that had taken a much more leisurely walk over to this beach and was enjoying the same view as I was now being treated to.
Sitting back, relaxing, and enjoying the views of this paradise, it is hard to imagine anything that will put you at peace as much as a sunset at the beach with calm weather. I could watch this every night and never get tired of it.
After the sun disappeared beyond the horizon, I quickly rolled back to our place to meet up with the crew who were quite eager to explore the Tamarindo night life and seek out some dessert options. It seems like the best place in town (judging by the crowd and later our taste buds) was Venezia Gelati & Cafe. This place served up an ever-changing spread of gelatos that were crazy good. Truth be told we kept coming back over and over throughout the week.
