Costa Rica Family Trip - Day 4 (Part 1 of 4)
One thing I always love about vacations is trying to get more steady workouts in than I usually can when balancing work, kid activities, and just the normal home grind. I was looking for a nice longer run today and I knew I had to get out early before the real heat of the day hit...but the humidity definitely hits different in these parts than Colorado. I followed the roads up towards Playa Langosta for a little loop and then just headed East (along Calle Vascos to Alameda 5) across the countryside along a nice dirty road.
Not soon after hitting the dirt road I stumbled onto these guys just chilling and making some noise up in the trees. I think monkeys here are equivalent to our squirrels in Colorado, they just seem to be everywhere.
I also came across this really pretty purple flowering tree that seemed like it was worth taking a picture of. They are building like crazy back away from the beach and it was really cool to see all of these places coming up that I could only dream of owning. All in all, I was able to get in a little over six miles and just right at an hour for a run time. Time to cool off now!
